We did it...........

I finally got another dog. Not sure if it was the right thing but we did it anyway. Her name is Ally and she is a very sweet but dopey yellow lab. Aren't they all? She is pretty obedient and a quick learner. We'll see how we feel as time goes on.

Our friend Dean lives close by and has horses. On this day after pheasant hunting, Mike and Zach went to go watch Dean and his son do a little roping. They were also nice enough to let Zach do some riding.

First Snow Storm

A couple weeks ago, we had our first storm of the season. By the pictures I'm sure you can tell it was cold and wet. Everybody knows I don't care for the cold. Zach however looks forward to it. Lucky for me this week is beautiful and will hit 70 degrees.

No more camping until summer 2009

Our 2008 camping season has come to an end. The trailer has been winterized with the pink stuff and awaits our adventures for next year. So sad, but we get to start thinking about where we will go next year. Thinking about a trip to Yellowstone, and maybe one to San Diego. Also want to go see Mt. Rushmore one of these summers. We can always dream right. We had a great summer with all our camping buddies. Looking forward to camping with you next year.

Last weekend we went camping In Glendale Utah. The campground was closed for the season, but Dave and Stephanie who invited us, are tight with the owners (family to be exact). We had the campgrounds to ourselves and it was great. The kids could roam, play and drive.

2nd Trip of the year to Palisade State Park

We went to Palisade State Park again for Labor Day weekend. The lake was really low so there wasn't much swimming going on. We hiked around the lake. The kids and Uncle Bobby caught snakes and Mike played a lot of skippo with Zach.

Our latest camping trip to Otter Creek

This past weekend we were with friends at Otter Creek. Both my camera batteries were almost dead, so I have few photos. Next time on the many lists I make so I won't forget anything (ha ha), I must also write "charge camera battery". We had a great time! The fishing was really good. The dutch oven cooking was very tasty! The fun was never ending. We wanted to stay an extra night, but had too many schedule conflicts. I guess our regular 3 night camp out is just not long enough anymore.
